Polish delegation visits Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - Top ranking Polish diplomats and business leaders hold talksTuesday with local officials promoting international exchange andcelebrating 20 years of cooperation with Procter & Gamble.

The Polish delegation includes: Zbigniew Kubacki, MinisterCounselor, Embassy of Poland, Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka, Consul General,Consulate NYC, Eric Stewart, President, US – Poland BusinessCouncil.

This international visit is organized by the European-American Chamberof Commerce in partnership with the U.S. CommercialService and the OhioDepartment of Development's Global Markets Division.

Consul General Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka will meet with RabbiAbie Igber, Director of the Interfaith Community EngagementProgram at Xavier University.  Both of them had a personalconnection to the late Pope John Paul II.  The Consul Generalwrote a book about the Polish-born Pontiff and the Rabbi was one ofthe organizers of the 2005 Xavier University exhibit " Blessingto One Another" focusing ont the pope and his relationship withthe Jewish people.

The Consul General will be accompanied by the Honorary Consul ofthe Republic of Poland, Dr. MarekDollar, who is also Dean of School of Engineering and AppliedScience at Miami University at Oxford.

As a side note, the top government officials of Israel andPoland will hold an historic joint sessionof the two governments in Jerusalem on February 24.
