Ohio EPA investigates cause of more than 100 fish deaths in Blue Ash creek

BLUE ASH, Ohio - The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will look in to what caused more than 100 fish to die in a Blue Ash creek.

The EPA will visit the creek Wednesday morning to investigate after Blue Ash resident Matt Tackett said he saw more than 100 dead fish in a creek that runs off Alliance Road on Tuesday. Tackett said he saw the fish during a morning walk.
"I was just outside taking in some sun and like to walk down to the creek and look around from time to time," Tackett said. "Today I noticed hundreds of dead fish. In fact, after walking at least a mile of the creek, I did not find a fish that was living."
The fish were in water about two to three inches deep surrounded by concrete walls.
