CINCINNATI – A lone Oregon cheetah cub in search of family just made his own incredible journey across the country Saturday to join the four premature cubs currently in critical care at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
It's already been a rough journey for the four remaining cheetah cubs, which were delivered March 8 via C-section and orphaned shortly afterward. A nanny dog has since stepped in to care for the tiny cats, but the runt of the litter died March 28.
The male cub from Oregon, born 12 days before Cincinnati Zoo’s cubs, was not able to be cared for by his mother at Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon.
