Christian Moerlein Lager House celebrates 1st anniversary

CINCINNATI - The Christian Moerlein Lager House has been in business for a year, and they're celebrating.

The Lager House, located in Smale Park adjacent to The Banks, will celebrate Feb. 22 through March 3 with giveaways, new menu offerings, a special anniversary beer and celebrity bartenders to thank customers.

"We want to thank our loyal and amazing customers who helped make our inaugural year a phenomenal success," said Greg Hardman, Moerlein Lager House's Managing Member. "We sincerely appreciate the City of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Park Board and our customers for sharing in our vision to bring a world-class microbrewery and restaurant celebrating Moerlein and Cincinnati's brewing heritage to Smale Riverfront Park."

During their first year, the Lager House has served:

-810,000 customers
-1 million servings of beer
-145,800 individual pretzels
-Tens of thousands of worldwide visitors

During the celebration, all guests who make a food purchase will receive a commemorative "Moerlein Lager House Inaugural Year" beer glass (one per customer per day, subject to availability). Also during the celebration, local celebrities will be named "beer barons" for the day.

The Moerlein Lager House will also offer $100 Facebook giveaways to customers, and Chef Carl Chambers will create new menu offerings. Brewmaster Richard Dube has also created a celebratory Moerlein Lager House Anniversary Beer to mark the restaurant's first anniversary.

Hard to believe what is now a staple of Cincinnati dining and drinks has been around for a year. Here's a look at what else has opened up at The Banks in the past year:

And coming soon...

And The Banks wouldn't be complete without the establishments that came before the Lager House:
