Crews were well into their ninth night of snowmaking by Friday morning, Perfect North Slopes' Tim Doll said. More than 250 tower-mounted snow guns have been pumping air and water out at about 10,000 gallons per minute to coat the slopes.
"The forecast looks really, really good right now," Doll said. "We're excited to get back on the snow and welcome our guests back to Perfect North slopes. We're hopeful that something's going to happen this weekend and we just need to keep an eye on the website and the webcams and social media to see what's going to happen."
Friday morning, Doll said the 10-day forecast was looking good for snowmaking, advising skiers to check online to find out when they'll be open. By noon Friday, Doll was able to confirm Perfect North would be open on Saturday.
