MidPoint Indie Summer series at Fountain Square every Friday

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati is a great town not only for its food, breweries and sports teams; it also has a plethora of free live music.

The MidPoint Indie Summer series — a live music event that takes place every Friday on Fountain Square — kicked off last week downtown.

Musical acts from around the world, including regional and local artists, will take the stage on Fridays through Aug. 30. The event is always free and begins around 7 p.m. on the Square.

The series serves as a preview for the MidPoint Music Festival, which takes place over the course of three days in September in downtown Cincinnati.

It's part of the PNC Summer Music Series on Fountain Square which offers free live music six nights a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
