Nick Goepper: Olympic medal winner's fame grows by tweets and bounds

Emma Stone shout-out, TV appearances help, too

NEW YORK -  Emma Stone, Kathy Lee Gifford and Brandi Chastain.

David Letterman and Boomer Esiason.

Add them to the thousands of members of the Nick Goepper Fan Club.

The 19-year-old Olympic skier from Lawrenceburg, Ind., has grown a huge following since winning a slopestyle bronze medal at Sochi, Russia, last week.

But Emma Stone?

It looks like US Weekly put the 25-year-old actress up to giving Nick a shout-out

His reaction to "The Amazing Spider-Man" star's video message?

Pure gushing and blushing.

Through his appearances on Olympics telecasts,  "Letterman" and "TODAY," Goepper has charmed a nation of once-every-four-years Olympic watchers with his boyish good looks and Midwestern wholesomeness.

All of them are late to the party.

Goepper has been a big hit with Millennials on social media for the past few years, wowing them with daredevil jumps and spins and X Games gold medals.

Since leaving Russia and flying to New York Monday, Goepper has been busy making the rounds of network shows.

He taped a return appearance on "Lettterman" Thursday, shown coast-to-coast Thursday night.  He had his medal-winning teammates, Gus Kenworthy (silver) and Joss Christensen (gold), with him.

Goepper was a hit on the Letterman show two weeks ago before heading to Sochi.

Earlier Thursday, Goepper was on "TODAY" with Gifford at the Rockefeller Center studios. He did "TODAY" with Matt, Savannah and Al at the Media Center in Sochi last week.

Goepper guested on Esiason's radio show Wednesday morning.

After Letterman, Goepper guested on "HuffPo Live" and the NYC Fox station, and he and his buds did a photo shoot for Rolling Stone, visited ELLE Magazine, guested on "SportsIllustratedNow" and showed off their abs on VH1's "Best Week Ever."

By Monday, he was back on "TODAY" with Matt and hung out with Usher.

OK, so Taylor Swift never tweeted back.

A lot of  young girls are creating their own music videos to try to win his "Win A Date with Nick" contest.

Check out the favorites chosen by Entertainment Weekly.

Others would give their left arm for a date.

Older Americans remember an exuberant Chastain stripping down to her sports bra after scoring the winning goal for the U.S. in the 1999 women's soccer World Cup.

Now a 45-year-old mother,  Chastain has a more mature perspective.
