Conner needed two unanswered runs in the final three innings to give Brad Arlinghaus a share of the Cougars’ all-time coaching wins record.

The Cougars beat Simon Kenton, 4-2, giving Arlinghaus 130 wins for his career. That ties him with former coach Scott Thomas.

Cougars junior first baseman Ryan Ward singled with two outs in the top of the fifth to break the tie.

It was also a day of firsts for Conner. Junior designated hitter Dustin Baker homered in the fourth to tie it on his first varsity hit, and junior right-hander Ryan Gosney went all seven innings to earn his first career win.
