Bellevue battled back from a four-point deficit at the end of three quarters to beat Villa Madonna, 38-31 on Wednesday.

Freshman guard Courtney Schmits hit four free throws and scored six points in the final period, and sophomore guard Makayla Bishop hit 4 of 5 foul shots in the last stanza for the Tigers.

Bishop led all scorers with 13 points, and she grabbed 14 rebounds. Freshman guard Reagan Atwood pulled down eight boards.

Sophomore guard Lexie Aytes paced the Blue Lightning with 11 points.

HOLMES 71, NEWPORT 47 – Bulldogs sophomore forward Amori Gulley tied a game best with 21 points – eight in the first quarter, seven in the third and six in the fourth.

Eighth-grade forward Tyrah Englemon added 12 points for Holmes, which won its fifth straight game.

Sophomore forward Kylie Orr scored paced the Wildcats with 21 points.

HOLY CROSS 66, LLOYD 26 – Senior guard Michelle Hungler led 11 Indians with 13 points, 10 of which came in the first half, including three of her four treys.

Junior forward Ally Mayhaus added 12 points for Holy Cross, which is 8-1 in its last nine games.
