Bengals expect Marvin Jones to miss first three games with foot fracture

CINCINNATI – The Bengals expect wide receiver Marvin Jones to miss the first three regular seasons after fracturing his foot, according to multiple reports.

Jones is expected to be out until the Oct. 5 game against the Patriots. The Bengals have a bye the previous week.

Jones had a screw put into his fifth metatarsal bone (connects to the little toe) after getting hurt in Saturday's practice, coach Marvin Lewis said.

Jones had already missed most of training camp with an ankle problem and didn't play in the first preseason game at Kansas City last Thursday.

Jones was the Bengals' second-leading receiver in 2013  behind A.J. Green. He had 10 TD catches, including four against the Jets.
