CINCINNATI – Reds manager and former pitching coach Bryan Price has a new reclamation project - a former 19-game winner for the Yankees.

Veteran right-hander Chien-Ming Wang has agreed to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training, the club announced.

Also signed to minor-league contracts and invited to spring training are: pitchers Jose Diaz and Lee Hyde;  catchers Corky Miller, Rossmel Perez and Max Ramirez; infielders Argenis Diaz, Reynaldo Navarro and Kristopher Negron; and outfielder Jason Bourgeois.

Wang, who will be 34 on Opening Day, won 19 games in 2006 and 2007, but he injured his foot running the bases in 2008 and hasn’t been the same since. He had hip and shoulder injuries in 2009 and pitched only 12 games before season-ending surgery on his right shoulder. He spent all of the 2010 season recovering from it.

The Taiwanese right-hander made 27 appearances (22 starts) for the Nationals and Blue Jays in 2012. He had a minor-league stint with the Yankees in 2013 but was released in June. After that, Wang went 1-2 with a 7.67 ERA in six starts for the Blue Jays.

Wang put up decent numbers at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last season: an 8-7 record with a 2.87 ERA in 18 appearances (17 starts).

Wang will get $1.25 million if he is called up, according to Octagon, the agency that represents him. He could make $3 million with incentives.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Goodyear, Ariz., on Feb. 14 and work out that afternoon after physical examinations.

Position players report Feb. 19. The full squad will work out that afternoon.
