Your life in video according to Facebook & school closings get soul in the digital week in review

CINCINNATI - This week in the digital world: As Facebook turned 10, those "look back" videos invaded your news feed, Bruno Mars wowed fans at the Super Bowl halftime show and across social media, and your school closings got a little bit of style with the help of two local school administrators.

Happy birthday, Facebook! The social media giant turned 10 on Feb. 4. To celebrate the big 1-0, here are a few new facts about Facebook you probably didn’t know before!

JCPenney fakes drunk tweets, hilarity kind of ensues. With the advent of social media comes real-time marketing. Remember how brands took to social media during the Super Bowl XLVII blackout (looking at you, Oreo “You can still dunk in the dark” Cookie)? This year was no different; only this time, it involved a little more planning. See how JCPenney left audiences scratching their heads.

Singing school closings. Two administrators from Stephens Elementary School in Burlington, Ky. decided to have a little fun with yet another set of school closings by singing to the tune of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”  Of course, it was too good to ignore, and in just 24 hours, the video went viral--going from 65 views to nearly 78,000. That’s pretty “cool!"

Bruno Mars kills the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Halftime shows are fairly polarizing: viewers either love the performances or the artists, or hate them. And both sides are extraordinarily vocal about their feelings, most recently taking to social media to critique the action. Bruno Mars during Sunday’s big game? Most agreed that he proved to be a true entertainer .

Your Facebook lookback. In honor of Facebook’s 10th birthday, Mark Zuckerberg and company put together a video lookback at YOUR history on the social media platform. Yes, see those embarrassing first pictures and most-liked posts in a short video compilation .
