CINCINNATI -- A former Cincinnati high school volleyball coach who admitted to having sex with an underage girl was sentenced to six months in jail Thursday.
The Dayton Daily News reports Joshua Fisher, 29, was indicted in October after having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old Centerville girl he gave private volleyball lessons to. Fisher worked as a coach at Lakota East High School in Butler County.
Fisher was also sentenced to five years community control sanctions. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and will have to register as a Tier II sex offender when he is released – meaning he will have to register every 180 days for 25 years.
Fisher pleaded guilty to three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor before his sentencing. He was previously indicted on five felony counts of sexual battery and one misdemeanor count of sexual imposition.
He is not allowed to coach children ever again.
