SEVILLE, Ohio - Two emaciated dogs were seized from a home in northeastern Ohio on Thursday.
The Medina County SPCA received a report of animal cruelty from an anonymous tipster which prompted the investigation.
SPCA employees responded to the Seville, Ohio home and rescued Andor, a 7-year-old to 8-year-old pit bull mix, and Abu, a 3-year-old boxer. The two emaciated dogs were then hospitalized for treatment.
SPCA employees say Abu (who was named after the monkey in Disney's Aladdin movie) is doing better Saturday, but Andor (whose name means bravery) is still receiving emergency medical care.
The Medina County SPCA is asking for donations to help cover the dogs’ medical bills, as they are increasing daily.
Interested persons can donate by visiting the Medina County SPCA’s website .
Charges are pending against the pets’ owner.
