VEVAY, Ind. -- A Vevay man is dead after a crash in Switzerland County.
The crash happened at about 5 p.m. Thursday on East Enterprise/Markland Pike.
Investigators said 49-year-old James Williams, of Vevay, was heading north in his 1998 Toyota pickup when his vehicle was hit a 1999 Ford dually pulling a flatbed trailer driven by 42-year-old Steven Gregory of Dry Ridge, Ky.
The crash happened when the two vehicles entered a curve in the roadway.
Troopers said Williams’ vehicle entered the southbound lane and was hit the driver’s side door by Gregory’s truck.
Williams died at the scene. Officials said Gregory suffered minor bruising.
The crash is still under investigation.
