Who is Ind. murders person of interest?

LAUREL, Ind. - Indiana State Police say that a woman was charged Friday in connection with an attempted drug store robbery in which David Ison, whom police named as a person of interest in five recent killings, was also charged.

Police say that 34-year-old Amanda Napier of Glenwood, Ind. was issued a warrant Friday after five months of investigation of the May 9 robbery attempt at Triplett's Drug Store in Osgood, Ind.

During the robbery, Ison allegedly displayed a gun. Investigators collected DNA left at the scene and were able to identify Ison as a suspect by the Indiana State Police Laboratory.

Napier is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and is being held at the Decatur County Jail.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Napier told investigators that she drove Ison to the drug store and that she waited for him to come out.

David Ison, 46, is being held in the Ripley County Jail on an attempted robbery charge in the drug store case.

Prosecutors named Ison as a person of interest in the Sept. 25 fatal shootings of Roy Napier, 50, his estranged wife, Angela Napier, 47, and their children, Melissa Napier, 23, and Jacob Napier, 18, along with a family friend, Henry Smith, 43.

Police say that no relation has been detected between Amanda Napier and the five murder victims found in Laurel, Ind. last week.

Ison is in jail on a $5 million bail as prosecutors pour over evidence police have gathered in this case. No charges in connection to the murders have been filed at this time.
