Low-income areas lost 64 voting sites since 2006

Budget cuts and changes in election law forced Hamilton County to consolidate voting precincts and polling sites in the last ten years.

That meant voting locations were eliminated all over the county but the trend since 2006 is troubling to voting rights advocates like State Sen. Eric Kearney, a Democrat who represents Ohio's 9th District.

"They've made it harder for poor people to vote," he said.
