FRANKLIN, Ohio -- A man held two adults and a 6-year-old child hostage early Monday morning in Franklin, Ohio, according to police.

Police say Jason Cole, 44, of Franklin held the three individuals at gunpoint at about 5:10 a.m. inside a home in the 100 block of Minnick Street in the Franklin Woods subdivision.

The adult male and the child were able to escape out of a bedroom window, according to officals.

The Warren County Tactical Response Team made contact with Cole and the adult female was released a short time later. She was transported to Atrium Hospital for injuries from an assault.

Cole came out of the home at about 7:50 a.m. and was taken into custody.
