DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio --- Two pedestrians were struck by two vehicles in Warren County Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Escort and Bardes drives just before 12 p.m. in Deerfield Township.
Devin Eddy, 18, of Elsmere, Ky., and Arial Jones, 19, of Cincinnati were walking east on Escort Drive when they were struck by two Chevrolet Avalanches traveling southbound.
According to the Ohio State High Patrol, drivers Chad Killen, 32, of Hamilton, and Patrick Redwine, 25, of Cincinnati, both approached the intersection when the traffic light turned green. Killen was driving in the right lane and Redwine in the left when the two cars struck the pedestrians when as they were walking in the roadway.
Officials say both drivers stopped their vehicles immediately.
Jones was transported to Bethesda North Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Eddy was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.
No other information on their conditions were released at this time.
The drivers were not injured.
Police say there is no pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection.
The accident remains under investigation.
