CINCINNATI -- A woman from Cincinnati will put her fashion designs to the test in an upcoming reality show hosted by Tim Gunn.

Asha Daniels graduated from St. Ursula Academy with honors in 2006, and will be the first contestant from Ohio to compete on the show, which is under the Project Runway franchise, according to a spokesman for the school.

Daniels will bring her best fashion designs and visions to the table during Lifetime's premier run of "Under the Gunn," a spin-off to Project Runway.

In high school, Daniels began studying design with educator Alison Probst. Her hard work clinched the Cincinnati Presidential Scholarship from the University of Cincinnati, out of 2,000 other fashion hopefuls in the running.

Daniels attended UC's D.A.A.P. program. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a fashion design degree, and went on to intern with Marchesa. The London-based fashion brand featured a dress by Daniels in its most recent wedding collection.

The first episode of "Under the Gunn" will air Thursday, Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
