FORT THOMAS, Ky. -- Officers of the Fort Thomas Police Department made three arrests Friday in connection to recent assaults in the Northern Kentucky town.

Even though residents say assaults don't happen often in Fort Thomas, several took pace in early November, prompting investigators to hunt down the attackers.

Of the three boys arrested, one is from Park Hills, another from Covington and the third from Fort Mitchell, according to Lt. Richard Whitford.

Through the town's usually quiet streets, word spread quickly about the violence and the teens involved. Fathers began making sure their daughters are aware of the potential dangers in the area.

"He's like just 'stay inside, and don't let anyone ask you random questions on the street,'" teen Courtney Moreaux said.

The trio reportedly attacked people in Fort Thomas at random, even pushing a 2-year-old off his tricycle.

"I can't even imagine someone pushing a little kid off a bicycle," teen Caleigh Brooks said.

Whitford said a 13-year-old kid was attacked and his cellphone was stolen on Friday, November 1. He said the next three attacks happened Sunday, when another man was attacked after stopping to help a female jogger who was being harassed.

The assaults happened on Fort Thomas Avenue, the Highland Avenue overpass and the third on Alexandria Pike in Southgate.

One of the juveniles is charged with robbery and assault. The other two teens face multiple assault charges, Whitford said.
