A man who surrendered to police after a standoff in Independence faces multiple charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.
INDEPENDENCE, Ky. -- A standoff in a Northern Kentucky neighborhood ended peacefully Tuesday night.
Police said a man with a shotgun barricaded himself inside a home near Hunter's Green Drive and Pathfinder Court.
The SWAT team used two flash-bang grenades during the standoff. After two hours of negotiations from SWAT officers, the man finally surrendered with no incident.
The suspect was later identified as Joseph Wagner
There were no reports of shots fired. While the man held himself inside, nearby residents were told to shelter in place. No injuries were reported.
Wagner faces charges including: manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, wanton endangerment and fugitive from another state.
He is being held at the Kenton County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Wagner is due before a judge at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
