CINCINNATI -- Elmwood Place police are seeking a man they say attacked his kids' mother in the middle of the night, while she held their baby.
Ross Hudson woke the sleeping mom Saturday, Dec. 13 around 3 a.m. The 30-year-old Elmwood Place resident began to hit and choke the mother, as she clutched their 7-month-old child in her arms.
Elmwood police said the couple's 8-year-old was in the room when the attack happened, and watched Hudson's alleged attack. Police said he continued to beat the woman through the rest of the early morning, until she was able to call for help.
Hudson fled the home on Poplar Street, leaving the woman with several fractures to her face and head.
Responders arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officers said she would need several surgeries to repair her injuries.
According to Crime Stoppers, Hudson is a white male, about 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. They warn the public that Hudson may carry a firearm and that he has fought with police on a previous incident.
