CINCINNATI -- A man police say stabbed a Golf Manor resident with a kitchen knife then watched him die on the floor in front of him was arraigned Tuesday morning in a Hamilton County courtroom.
Gary Gross, 51, was arrested and charged with murder after investigators discovered a body inside an apartment at 1969 Section Road Sunday evening.
Gross told police he was involved in an altercation with Joshua K. Glenn, 21, when he grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and stabbed the victim four times in the chest and back.
Gross said he sat on the couch and watched Glenn die, then covered him with sheets after he was deceased, according to an affidavit.
Investigators said Glenn was killed Nov. 1 and his body was not discovered for nine days. When referring the area surrounding the apartment where the body was found, a man calling 911 to report the discovery said it "stinks."
"At first it smelled like someone had cooked fish but as the week went on it just kept getting stronger and stronger," a neighbor near the apartment said.
Gross was issued a $100,000 bond at his arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing. Tips should be submitted by contacting (513) 851-6000 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
