CINCINNATI -- A man was rushed to a local hospital late Saturday night after his motorcycle crashed into the back of a Jeep Liberty on southbound Interstate 71, according to police at the scene.
The crash happened just before midnight on a stretch of I-71 between the Reading Road and Gilbert Avenue exit.
Marc Vergona, 33, the driver of a 2003 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle, was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and listed in critical condition.
All lanes of SB-71 in the area were reopened Sunday morning. Officers said excessive speed and impairment appeared to be factors in the crash.
The driver of the Jeep, Stephanie Vanarsdale, 26, wore her seatbelt and was uninjured in the incident.
