CINCINNATI -- Louis Langree, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s new music director, spoke of Cincinnati’s “positive attitude, which is so rare” in an interview just days before his inaugural concert.

The 52-year-old is an internationally acclaimed conductor, holding the position of music director at Lincoln Center in New York since 2002.

Thirty-five thousand people saw his work this summer during the Lumenocity concerts at Washington Park. Langree is the CSO’s 13th music director, succeeding Paavo Jarvi. His inaugural concerts of the new season with the CSO take place Nov. 8-10 at Music Hall.
