CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati bakery is continuing its fight against breast cancer.
The Klosterman Baking Company said it is launching its second “Pink Loaves” campaign to benefit the Pink Ribbon Girls initiative on Monday.
Klosterman will donate a portion of the proceeds from its Pink Loaves sold throughout the six-week campaign.
Officials said consumers can support the program by buying the specially-marked Pink Loaves at participating grocery stores.
Organizers with the Pink Ribbon Girls said the money raised through the event has allowed them to expand their breast cancer education efforts among young women.
"We were excited to support such an important and meaningful cause and to see the success that comes from our efforts is very fulfilling," Klosterman Chief Executive Officer Kim Klosterman said in a release. "We hope to continue sharing the importance of breast cancer awareness, healthy living and nutrition for women through this campaign by selling Pink Ribbon Loaves."
The baking company is also teaming up with Radio One to take part in its Women’s Empowerment Conference on Sept. 28.
Radio One listeners can bring two empty Pink Loaf packages to the conference to get free admission.
