FORT WRIGHT, Ky. – Police are seeking help in identifying a man accused of stealing over $232 worth of cigarettes from a gas station on Aug. 14.

The man, captured on security camera footage, asked for multiple cartons of cigarettes at the Shell gas station on Dixie Highway, according to police. As the clerk turned to place one more carton in a bag that sat on a counter, the person being sought grabbed the bag and fled.

Fort Wright police believe a white minivan that pulled into the gas station lot around the same time may be involved in the theft.

A similar incident occurred at a nearby Marathon on Aug. 20.
