CINCINNATI -- The Kroger grocery store in Hyde Park Plaza was given an all clear Friday night after the store was evacuated for about a half-hour.
Cincinnati police said someone made a threat in the pharmacy department inside the Kroger at 3750 Paxton Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. They were unsure of the threat's details, but said despite initial reports, there was no suspicious package involved.
Police called K-9 units to the Kroger shortly after arrival. They had the scene cleared just before 10 p.m. and found nothing inside that was potentially dangerous.
Three other local Kroger stores received threats Friday evening, according to authorities from Hamilton County, Symmes Township and Union Township.
The Madeira Kroger of 6950 Miami Avenue was evacuated at about 9:10 p.m. for a bomb threat.
Shortly before that incident, the Harper's Point Kroger at 11390 Montgomery Road was evacuated at about 8:45 p.m.
A bomb threat was made at the Kroger at 4530 Eastgate Boulevard at about 9:40 p.m., causing an evacuation there as well.
Police of all communities involved said nothing suspicious was found during investigations at each store. It was not made immediately clear if the threats are related.
