Hear Cincinnati Podcast: Tax breaks in OTR; Music Hall reopening; talking to kids about tragedy

This week on Hear Cincinnati, guest host Meghan Wesley, digital reporter Lucy May, 9 On Your Side anchor Chris Riva and Fifth Mascot host Scott Kyser talk about Fiona the hippo (of course), Mama's Cookies, the reopening of Music Hall, the tragic mass shootings in Las Vegas and an NPR staffer who accidentally posted a cat photo on NPR's facebook page instead of their personal one (we all needed something light to talk about this week, right?).

Meghan then talks with digital reporter Amanda Seitz about tax abatements in popular neighborhoods like Over-the-Rhine, Downtown and Walnut Hills and whether these areas should still be receiving them.

Meghan also chats with Janelle Gelfand, who has been covering classical music in Cincinnati for 26 years, about the grand reopening of Music Hall and what we can expect during the festivities this weekend.

Finally, Meghan speaks with investigative reporter Lisa Bernard-Kuhn about a difficult question she fielded from her daughter recently. Lisa also gives readers tips for how to talk to their children about events like the Las Vegas shootings.
