SYMMES TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A groundbreaking is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon to introduce a new "Loop Ramp" at Interstate 71 and Fields-Ertel Road.
Officials said the interchange project will make travel in the area safer and offer smoother traffic congestion.
Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday and will include the I-71/Fields-Ertel and Mason-Montgomery Road area. When work is finished, officials believe the Loop Ramp will allow northbound motorists to bypass the current off-ramp intersection and get directly onto Mason-Montgomery Road.
The interchange project is expected to be completed by fall 2015.
