Springfield Township: Man dies from chest wound after Simpson Avenue shooting

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio -- Police are looking for two men suspected of shooting another man in the chest and killing him Friday evening.

An unnamed 29-year-old man died after first responders transported him to Mercy Mount Airy Hospital after finding him at Crutchfield Park near Simpson Avenue in West College Hill around 8:15 p.m., Springfield Township police report.

Two suspects in their 20s are being sought by investigators. One suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and last seen wearing a blue hoodie with white stripes on the sleeves. The second suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build and last seen wearing a grey hoodie and green shorts with white trim. Both men were last seen running east on Highland Road.

Springfield Township police ask anyone with information about the two men to contact the department at 513-729-1300 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
