The incident happened on Dec. 19 at a home in the 4600 block of East Miami River Road.
The victim told police Clay said he was going to kill her while he fled the residence.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6 feet 6 inches tall, 300 pounds with numerous tattoos on his face.
Clay is known to carry knives and was previously charged with assaulting an officer, according to officials.
