Man arrested in connection to July 2013 Red Bank Road homicide

CINCINNATI – Homicide detectives charged a man with the July 6, 2013 killing of 21-year-old Rodney Smith Wednesday afternoon.

Darryl Mosley faces one count of murder.

Smith was found shot at about 4 a.m. in a vehicle at 4205 Red Bank Road. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center were he died from his wounds.

Witnesses told Cincinnati police at the time of the incident that they saw two people fleeing the scene.

A vigil was also held for Smith.

"It's like a piece of my heart is gone because I see him everyday," Alishia Carpenter said.

Cincinnati’s homicide unit continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Section at 513-352-3542 or CRIME STOPPERS at 352-3040.
