CINCINNATI -- Part of Elberon Avenue in Price Hill was temporarily closed to traffic Friday after a mudslide.
Elberon Avenue reopened shortly before 2 p.m. after being closed since 9 a.m.
Officials said the mudslide was caused by a night of torrential rainfall that littered mounds of mud and debris onto the roadway.
Crews worked to clear the stretch of road between Mt. Hope and Purcell avenues for several hours while detouring traffic. There's no retaining wall in that area.
There are no houses along the portion of road where the mudslide took place.
