CINCINNATI – Two shootings in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood happened just blocks away from where hundreds of patrons were gathered for the Bockfest celebration.
The first shooting happened Friday evening on Hamer Street.

Police said 33-year-old Darryl Chatman was shot to death. Officers arrested 22-year-old Frank Curtis just hours later.
Investigators said Curtis shot Chatman to death while trying to rob him.
The second shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday on East McMicken Avenue.
Police said the shooting happened outside an apartment building at 41 E. McMicken Ave. An arrest was made shortly after the attack.
Officers did not release the identity of the suspect or the victim. The victim’s condition has also not been released.
The incidents took place within a few blocks of Bockfest at the Christian Moerlein Brewery and tap room on Moore Street. The brewery was the focal point for the three-day festival celebrating Cincinnati’s German beer heritage.
