A bike barrier area on Central Parkway.
CINCINNATI -- Drivers on central parkway will need to be a little more alert Monday morning.
Crews are starting work on the new bicycle lanes stretching from Over-the-Rhine to Clifton.
Overall, the pathway will connect to the existing bike lanes on Ludlow Avenue, and to a new shared-use path for pedestrians and bicyclists on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The work will move the parking lane away from the curb and will be adjacent to the new bike paths.
Crews will install plastic pylons to separate the bike paths from the rest of the roadway.
As the pylons are installed, drivers should start parking to the left of them.
There will be new parking restrictions north of Liberty Street. There will be no parking in the southbound lane from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and no parking in the northbound lane from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
