CINCINNATI -- Construction for the Cincinnati streetcar could tie up traffic Monday morning.
Crews are slated to begin installing track at 12th and Jackson streets at about 7 a.m.
The eastbound lane of 12th Street will stay open during the work.
However, drivers heading north on Jackson Street must detour east onto 12th Street, then north on Main Street and West onto 13th Street.
That construction will run until 4 p.m. daily and should wrap up on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Walnut Street is closed in both directions at 12th Street as well through Friday for track installation.
Crews will also be installing track between Vine and Walnut streets and Elm and Race streets through Friday.
Drivers are urged to give themselves extra time and to avoid the area if possible.
