CINCINNATI -- Emma and William have been announced as the most popular baby names of 2012 in Cincinnati.
The Cincinnati Health Department Vital Records Office released a list of most popular names for newborn baby girls and boys in 2012. William was at the top of the list for the second year in a row.
The top 10 most popular girl names are:
- Isabella and Avery are tied
- Charlotte & Abigail tied for the No. 8 spot
Olivia was the No. 1 choice in 2011, but has completely fell out of the top 10 list.
The top 10 newborn boy names are:
- Andrew and Mason tied for No. 4
- Michael, Ethan and Jackon tied for No. 8
- James and Elijah
- Jacob and Owen
The City of Cincinnati's Vital Statistics office is the third largest in Ohio. The office issued 29,513 birth certificated last year.
