Some who gathered Friday knew Justin well, some not as much. But everyone was there to remember a man who was liked by all. WCPO reporter Natasha Williams attended the vigil, held at Waynesville High School.
Friends said they'll miss Justin's incredible smile the most. The kindest words of Justin were shared Friday night.
Petty Officer Daniel White said, "He was always working hard for boot camp. He was going to do great things for hte Navy."
Justin was a high school football player.
His teammate, Colin Morris, said, "Overall he was just one of the nicest, whether in the weight room or on the field."
Neighbor Lynn Fairchild did not know Justin very well, but came to show her support because she felt his family needs a lot.
The family sure was grateful for that support at their son's memorial. They called it an incredible outpouring of encouragement as photos of Justin were played on a screen.
"He was funny when he needed to be funny," friend Miracle Ryan said. "He was all around a great guy."
His family had not decided Friday night of the exact funeral plans.
The two suspects are held without bond in the Warren County Jail.
