CINCINNATI - Cincinnati is starting to accept applications to be the city's top cop.

The police chief opening has been posted to the city's website and the listing says July 19 will mark the end of the early application period.

Chief James Craig is leaving his post in Cincinnati to become Detroit's chief.

His last day on the job in Cincinnati is next Saturday and he starts in Detroit on July 1.

Assistant Chief Paul Humphries will serve as interim chief during the search for Craig's replacement.
