CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati-based ER nurse will be featured on TLC and Discovery Fit & Health's hit show "Untold Stories of the ER" this week.

The episode, which airs on Discovery Fit & Health at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, will feature St. Elizabeth Healthcare Emergency Department Nurse Terry Foster. The episode will then repeat Saturday, Dec. 28 at 9 p.m. on TLC.

"Untold Stories of the ER" is a docudrama television series where real-life emergency room doctors tell their most bizarre and puzzling cases.

In Foster’s episode, he finds himself in an unusual predicament: the only bed that he can treat an overdosing  prostitute shouting curse words is right next to an elderly nun who’s awaiting hip surgery.

Foster was originally a 1977 licensed practical nurse (LPN) graduate of Booth Memorial Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Covington. After working for five years as an LPN in the emergency department, he received his registered nurse diploma from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. In 1997, he received his master's degree in critical-care and trauma nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and Health.

He has worked as a volunteer, ward clerk, staff nurse, charge nurse, critical-care instructor, clinical director and night supervisor at both the Mercy Hospitals of Cincinnati and St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Northern Kentucky.
