FOREST PARK, Ohio -- Two people will be arraigned Monday morning after allegedly buying heroin while an 8-year-old child was with them.
John C. Nelson and Chastity Hawkins will be arraigned at 9 a.m. on endangering children charges after the incident on Saturday, according to affidavits from the Hamilton County Clerk of Court’s website.
Investigators say Nelson drove Hawkins, his girlfriend, to a stretch of Karahill Drive in Forest Park to buy the drugs. Hawkins' 8-year-old daughter was the child in the car, according to the affidavit.
Police say they found heroin on Hawkins when they pulled over their vehicle.
The affidavit indicates that both suspects have admitted to the crimes.
No other information on the incident is available.
