ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- After a group of robbers attacked an 87-year-old man, deputies said they found a marijuana growing operation in the man’s Ross Township home.
The incident was first reported at about 12:50 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 1200 block of Millville-Shandon Road.
Butler County deputies said a group broke into Howard Fisher’s home and held him at gunpoint.
Fisher told deputies the group took several items that belonged to his grandson, Christopher Fisher. Fisher’s grandson was not home at the time.
Deputies said Howard Fisher suffered an injury to his hand when one of the robbers struck him.
Howard Fisher was with nearby neighbors when deputies arrived.
When deputies conducted a search of the home, they said they found the marijuana growing operation in the basement.
Officials said they found marijuana growing equipment and several plants in various stages of growth.
Deputies said they have no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
