LIBERTY TWP., Ohio – One person died early Saturday morning after a car rolled over heading northbound on I-75 in Butler County.
Eric B. Kirby, 29, of Middletown, was pronounced dead at the scene when he was ejected from his 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. The Lancer rolled multiple times near milepost 24, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol post in Hamilton.
Kirby was not wearing a seatbelt.
Liberty Township Emergence Medical Services responded to the crash at 3:38 a.m.
Police state Kirby lost control of his vehicle when it traveled off the right side of the road and rolled across the eastbound State Route 129 entrance ramp.
Police said they were not sure if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
The crash occurred an hour before a Greyhound bus flipped in the Liberty Township area of northbound I-75 as well. The two incidents were unrelated, according to police.
