Police: Sex offender attacked woman in Hamilton parking garage

HAMILTON, Ohio – A known sex offender was arrested Thursday after police say he sexually assaulted a woman in a Hamilton parking garage.

Authorities arrested David M. Patrick, 27, after they say he reached under a woman’s skirt in the McDulin Parking Garage’s stairwell near the corner of 2nd and Market Streets.

Police said the woman was walking from her car to the stairwell at about 7 a.m. when Patrick restrained her against a wall.

The woman was able to fight him off and escape out a second-level doorway, police said. She was not physically injured.

Patrick, who is listed as homeless, was convicted in 2013 of attempted abduction and incarcerated in the Ohio Prison System. He was released from prison on June 24, 2014. He has been arrested for other attacked at the same garage, officials said.

Patrick was arrested shortly after Thursday’s attack at about 9 a.m.

He was charged with gross sexual imposition, breaking and entering and abduction. He is being held in the Butler County Jail.
