BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio -- A former Butler County death row inmate is up for parole Thursday, according to ABC 22.
James Findley was charged with the murder of 16-year-old Cheryl Sigel in 1970. ABC 22 reports Siegel’s mutilated body was found in Butler County after Findley told her he would give her a ride home.
Findley was sentenced to death but his punishment was changed within hours of his execution. He instead received life in prison.
ABC 22 says prosecutors in the case live in fear due to James Findley’s associated with the Iron Horsemen motorcycle club.
