Butler County drug task force makes four weekend arrests

HAMILTON, Ohio – Undercover narcotics agents in Butler County were busy over the weekend, netting thousands of dollars in drugs, three vehicles, a hand gun and shotgun.

The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force began its sweep Friday around 3:30 p.m., according to Butler County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, Sgt Monte Mayer.

In that instance Robert Wolfram Jr., 26 of Hamilton, was arrested for transporting two pounds of marijuana after a target traffic stop. The U.S. Postal Inspectors assisted in the investigation by tracking the delivery of the package containing the drug to Wolfram.

At about 11:45 p.m. a similar targeted traffic stop was made on Main Street near Eaton Road in Hamilton. Donald Ellis, 36 of Hamilton was arrested for transporting four ounces of cocaine valued at $4,800 and a half-ounce of heroin. A 2000 Chevy Tahoe and a 1992 Cadillac were also seized. Ellis faces multiple felony charges.

BURN agents ended their weekend with two arrests on Saturday. The first occurred at around 9 p.m. when the task force executed a search warrant at 330 East Ave., Hamilton. Officers arrested Tina Davis, 47, after seizing almost 6 ounces of cocaine, valued at $7,200. Davis was charged with possession of cocaine and permitting drug abuse.

The second Saturday arrested occurred at 9:30 p.m. when officials conducted a third targeted traffic stop on U.S. Route 27 near State Route 128 in Ross Township. Anthony Chad McCormick, 30 of Shandon was charged with multiple felony drug charges and resisting arrest after police found 2 ounces of crystal meth valued at $3,000, a sawed-off shotgun, a handgun and a 1994 Chevy Cavalier.
