UNION, Ky. – A Boone County man was charged Monday with sexual abuse of a child stemming to an incident that allegedly took place in 2001.
Earl Evans, 70, of Union was arrested at about 11:20 a.m. by Boone County Sheriff deputies on allegations that he touched a girl who was seven-years-old at the time.
The sheriff’s office also stated Evans had the child, who was under his care, touch him inappropriately as well.
Sexual abuse is a class C felony in Kentucky. Evans faces 5-to-10-years in state prison if convicted on the charge.
