CINCINNATI - Fan of Arnold's Bar & Grill downtown? You're not alone.
The website chose this "fun fact" about the establishment, "Arnold's is the oldest bar in Cincinnati. It only began serving food during prohibition when it was converted into a 'cafe.'"
Other bars on the list have locations in England, Spain, Italy and New York City.
In 2011 , Mayor Mark Mallory even declared March 28th, "Arnold's Bar and Grill Day."
Despite its venerable age, (more than 150 years and counting,) Arnold's continues to be relevant to all walks to life in the Queen City.
The owners and staff of Arnold's are actively involved in supporting local charities and artists, as well as keeping up with new culinary trends. (Traditionalists take heart, you can still get your favorite burger anytime in addition to newer fare.)
Arnold's also recently expanded its beer tap list to be able to serve 23 beers. The list includes many beers from local breweries as well as tasty craft brews from across Ohio.
And who can forget all the Opening Day festivities at Arnold's including an annual rendition of "Who's on first?"
Just recently the bar played host to several bands during the MidPoint Music Festival. Arnold's is also well known for its support of street artists as you can find several murals there.
